LA was not favored to win. The star player of L.A. Kirk Gibson had to leg injuries and had not played in this game AT ALL. Well, needless to say he decided to step up to the plate in the 9th inning with no warm up. He was determined and used his mindset to overcome the injury and the odds. He could barely walk, let alone perform.
